I would love to see your recipe for white chili! My mom makes some, but she is the type that just throws 'whatever' in it and there is no one way lol.
ReplyDeleteI actually just put the recipe together this morning.Hadn't ever heard of it before, saw a recipe, and went down to the kitchen to see what white chili sort of things I had around.
ReplyDelete1 tbsp dried onion
1 tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1 can chicken(shred or mash it)
1 can garbanzo beans(chickpeas), drained
2 cans Great Northern Beans, drained
1 can corn, drained
1 can chicken broth
2(4 oz) cans diced green chilis
A pinch of cayenne pepper
A pinch of paprika
Throw all the ingredients into a pot and place over low/medium heat for 30 minutes. Stir to prevent sticking/burning of beans/corn.
Serve with chips, tortillas or cornbread and top with white cheese of your preference.
At some point, I'll convert this into all dried beans, but today I wanted something quick.
I'm always on the hunt for new things to eat. Especially if they are easy, I'm usually quite busy.
Thanks Byron!
ReplyDeleteI am also always on the look out for easy recipes. If you haven't had 'Taco Soup' it is SOOO easy to make (and soo GOOD). I'll make sure to post it on my blog just in case!
